Mi familia rubia!

Hola a todos. This week has been a solid regular week. So up and down, up and down... Wheh. It just flew by and we had good goals planned but the week just slipped from our fingers and got away from us. It´s been rough because we haven´t been able to quite reach our goals and have as successfull of a week as we wanted to. However learn from it and move on.

Yeah two weeks ago I caught a boat to get to Lanzarote (the other island). From the north part of our island you can see a tiny island called isla de lobos and you can also see Lanzarote. They´re super close. Only like 40 minutes in a big boat. We actually want to go there one P-day with a few members. However it´ll probably have to be next transfer, but we´ll find a way.

We got back into to contact with Rosana (the lady and her family) but when we talked on the phone she said that she´s not intersted right now and that we should stop bugging her... :( Sad, sad, sad. However good news on the miracle side of the work. One of our investigators and her husband (a less active guy) were scrounging around looking for work for a really long time, but about two weeks ago they started working in this open market selling, benches, tables and just other things that Eduardo makes out of wood. Since they´ve started doing that they literally haven´t had time to take a breath. He´s working on about three or four projects at a time and then he has four or five waiting for the next week. They have litterly received sooo many blessings that they don´t have room to receive them. Then they´re going to buy a car, and when they do they´ll have no excuse to not come to church and that´s what they told us! We´re super grateful to be able to see these blessings because when they got here they were in really tough shape. He would tattoo people to pay for the rent and food and they´d have to last on barely any money for weeks at a time. Once they started keeping the commandments BOOM! Blessings.

God is real people and he DOES listen to us. He just waits until we come unto to Him before we receive the promised blessings. So if you want a job go talk to the missionaries and keep the commandments!

The Canary Islands the past few days have been pretty wet though. (Besides Fuerteventura of course) There have been record setting storms in all of the other islands and they´ve been having crazy weather over there. We saw a video of people kayaking in the streets. Literally water everywhere. And here... I think it rained last night but nobody really knows. That´s why Fuerteventura and Lanzarote are so brown and "desolate" it´s because every single storm jumps Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, hits the other 5 islands and then moves to the U.S. and becomes a major storm in Florida. So heads up Florida your streets are about to become some popular kayaking locations.

So we´ve been super grateful that nothing crazy happens over here. It would shake things up and make them more interesting but it´s better to be safe and boring than swimming from appointment to appointment (according to Mommy ;).

Feelings: They´ve been pretty good. It´s been awhile since I´ve needed my emergency ice cream. So good. Oh actually other sad thing. That pizza lady, that I talked about maybe last week or the week before, we sat down and talked to her one day and found out that 1. she smokes, 2. she´s basically done at the pizza place and 3. she´s lesbian..... :(( (fat frowny cause I was eating ice cream when she told us) We were really excited to invite her to come to church, and do everything, and we still are going to, however it just makes it that much harder for her to commit and keep the commandments. :( Oh well she´s still awesome and we´ll keep buying pizza from her.

Thanks for all of the support peeps. You guys are all awesome and stay that way... Unless there are ways to be even more awesome. ;)

 Loves,  Élder Hawks
