Haha sooo first things first. Rember how when I was in Segovia I served with an Elder Brewer... Well as you can see he´s my new comp! He´s coming up from his area to be my companion again! Haha obviously one of us didn´t learn something that we needed to. He´s a really good obedient missionary and we´re excited to get to work together again. This isn´t something that happens regularly in our mission. So we´re excited to take advantage of already knowing each other and get to work.
So speaking of last week. Last week went by pretty fast as well. We went on exchanges with some other missionaries to see how they´re doing and see if there were any changes necesary and there weren´t so that was nice. :) We were able to do a lot of missionary work here in our area so that was also nice. We were failed a lot so we´re trying to figure out why these people didn´t meet with us so that if it´s something we did we can fix it and hopefully get more people to make and keep commitments. That´s been a struggle for a little but we´re getting better little by little and are praying for blessings.
Our investigators are doing pretty well, like I said struggling a little bit but that´s because they´re working tooo much and they aren´t taking as much time as needed to do the important things in life... Haha I realize that people could´ve said the same thing about me before the mission too... :) However Mara keeps progressing, more and more amazing with every lesson we have. Her testimony is rock solid. Just a little more patience with her mom.
Something that we realized here is that the ward is ASLEEP. There is sooooo much potential here but the thing is that people are doing the bare minimum for their callings or just everything so it´s making it hard because to be a missionary should be included in every calling description but.... Not quite. So we´re going to start planning activities as missionaries with our Ward Missionary Leader so that we can really get the people going... ;) So that´s going to be one of our main goals as a companionship so hopefully Elder Brewer and I can do that. It´s going to require more energy and ánimo on our part but we´re willing to try.
Now on to something a little more exciting the weather. We had a little cold front come through last week and I got to use my cool rain jacket. Yes. No but that was a good change. It got all of the pollen out of the air so luckily my alergies weren´t quite as bad last week. haha little things like that can be such HUGE blessings as a missionary. Stuff to just shake things up and keep us all on our toes so that we don´t get comfortable. There´s no growth in the comfort zone, so get out of that comfort zone. I find motivation in little things.
Shoot Dad that does not look fun. I´m super sorry that happened to you. Cute Elder Regehr was right next to me and he almost lost his breakfast looking at your finger. I hope it gets better quick and you can keep on getting ready for lotoja.
I´m feeling pretty good. Excited that Elder Brewer´s the one coming with me to a soccer game and that we´re able to serve together again. I´m really content with what´s happing here in B2. The progress in the investigators and in the members. Crazy how the Lord can work through two 19 year old boys to bring salvation unto theses people. It shocks me everytime I think about how much He trusts us.
I love you all and hope that you have a super awesome week! I can´t believe that little Hawks is 1 and I don´t even know him!!! Oh golly. :)
Love,
Elder Hawks
P.s. If you could put money on my card for my birthday that would be sweet. :) I don´t need anything specifically. I don´t know when I´ll get my package but we´ll see if it´s here soon. Thanks for all you do Mama y Papa!
