March 30, 2015

Hola mi muy querida familia... :)

This week has been super awesome but at the same time sloooowwww. It started off pretty slow but then on Tuesday we did exchanges with Barrio 8 or in other words my son! Elder Regehr! Remember him? Well he´s the District Leader over by the temple in B8 and so I went to his area and did exchanges while his companion and my companion stayed here. It was a good exchange. We learned a lot about how they´re doing and how we can help them. They´re having a tough time. So we need to focus on how to help them! They´re both really good missionaries but they just need a little push.

Then wednesday and thursday were pretty normal but on Friday I went and did splits in Alcobendas or aka with the AP´s, and it was super fun. They´re really good hardworking and focused missionaries and it´s always nice to work with people who are dedicated to what they do! It was the first time I had a car in my area, and the first time I went to office of the mission. I had fun and learned a good amount from Elder Gentry (one of the AP´s).

So that was Friday, then Saturday we just had a really good full day of stuff to do and just kicking butt in the street. Saturday night English Class and Noche de Hogar or Family Home Evening. We were in charge of the lesson so we had a member find the new video from the church and we used it and it turned out super well. It´s a really good video that we´re going to be taking advantage of while we can!

Then Sunday we had the super big privlege of hearing from Brad Wilcox. He´s here in Spain with a group of study abroad students from BYU. Oh my goodness it was soooo good. He talked about the 12 tribes of Israel and why it´s important to know about each one, where we come from and our certain roles in the plan of salvation. So I learned that us as Ephramites are the temporal kingdom builders, we are in charge of the temporal well keeping of the church while those from Manasses are the spiritual side. That´s why there are soooo many faithful people in South and Central America. Due to their BLOOD they are more open to spiritual things and more willing to try spiritual things. So he told us that we are here not to baptize everybody but to prepare the kingdom so that when the Lord comes we will then be ready to baptize everybody. I learned sooo much.

My feelings are good. I´m really excited for this soccer game on the 22nd! Uncle Ty´s the man! Haha of course he knows the CEO of Real Madrid. I´ll be sure to send off a letter to him saying thanks. The sad part is that we have transfers on August 12th, and Elder Stevenson´s already been to a game sooo if we´re even still together I´d have to take someone else... So I´m going to be thinking about who to take and then do what I feel needs to be done.

I´m super sorry Serelle! I know exactly what it´s like to have broken bones! It´s not fun at all. I hope you get better and know that I´ll be praying for you to get better. I love you and get better soon!

Bye everybody! Loves!

Elder Hawks
