March 16, 2015

Hola familia!

Oh my goodness this week has been crazy! We didn´t get to work to much do to meetings, splits with other missionaries and then the temple but man has it been a week to remember.

We went to the temple as a zone on Wednesday and let´s just say that it was new for me and I loved every second! While I was there I saw the Duffins and we were able to chat for a little bit afterwards. They love their new calling and they really like seeing me and talking to me. I would love for him to be my sealer. Haha I still have a little while before I need to worry about that but still it´s something that I would really like. :)

Right before the temple I went on exchanges with a missionary from Canada! Haha so I tried to remember all of the things that Michael had told me about Canada to talk to him about. He´s a nice kid, actually a convert, he got baptized about a year and a half ago. It´s been nice to get to know all of the missionaries in our zone and to work with them. Our zone´s got some areas that need special attention and I really enjoy going and helping these missionaries. They all have really strong testimonies however they just need some help with the application of everything that they know. Haha sounds like me before the mission. :)

So this week we´ve been focused on them and it´s been a little difficult to focus on some of our investigators. However we were still able to find some people on the street and we had a mega miracle the other day on the metro. We got in after a lunch appointment with the other missionaries in our area and we were just talking. Then at one stop, (mind you the metro is packed wall to wall of people and we were right by the door) a girl just comes flying in. Then looks around and yells, "Bryce?!" And he yells "Italia" Haha we saw his water polo coach from California on the metro! He was freaking out. We talked to her found out that she´s randomly colombian and that she came here to teach english at a catholic school. She´s not a member so we got her number and we´re going to try to teach her, cause he´s always wanted to share the gospel with her and literally God threw her into the metro so that we could teach her and get baptized. So we´re really excited to keep talking to her and set up some time to meet and talk about the gospel.

We´ll see how it all goes down. Then on Saturday we went to the temple for Diana and Daniel´s sealing! Oh my goodness that was by far the most spiritual experience of my life. To see the man that we teached and his family getting sealed together for time and all eternity was huge. The temple President performed the ordinance and he did a really good job. Hence why that made me want Brother Duffin to do that for me. :) haha and speaking of that a member that was sitting next to me leaned over and told me that I´m next... hahaha it was really fun cause I was able to see all of the people from Villalba and their families. I can´t even imagine how happy our Heavenly Father was in that moment. We only felt a portion of that happiness and that feeling and that comfort should be a missionaries motivation to not only work hard but work so hard so that a year after all of your efforts you can go to the temple with those people that you taught. The worth of one sould is great in the eyes of God. The worth of a family is much more. :)

I LOVE MY MISSION. Fact. I don´t want to come home. And while we´re on that topic I got the letter asking me for all of that information. The name of our stake, ward and what airport I´m coming home to. It´s also official that I come home on the 18th of August which would make going to school on the 24th a hassle and a half. So I´m going to ask the Lord what I need to do and also President to see what he thinks. It would probaly be best to wait until next year to come back. Because then I could maybe be here for Christian and Paola´s sealing too.... :) But for now we´ll just plan on you not coming.

I´m doing well. My companion´s doing well as well. We´re working hard and looking for more people to teach. Mara is ready to get baptized but her mom wants her to wait for a little bit before she get´s baptized so we need to find new people who are prepared. We´re trying to work with her mom so that she can also feel the need to get baptized and come to Jesus. :) It´s been a little bit of a challenge but the Lord likes to bless us if we´re working hard so just keep on enduring.

Thanks for all of the support and keep on moving on.

Stay Golden.
