May 4, 2015

Bueno ésta semana fue tan genial que os flipáis :)

Well as you can see from the pictures we had a super awesome week... :) Monday was good. We had a regular PDay and then a good Family Home Evening that night like we do all mondays. Nothing crazy to report.

Tuesday we did intercambios with the missionaries in our district in the ward right next to us. Elder Saltzman and Elder Maughan (Mawn). I was with Elder Maughan here and Elder Brewer went with Elder Saltzman in their area. OH my goodness Elder Maughan is crazy... haha we got a long super well. He´s loud, friendly and likes to work and it was a blast working with him. We went to visit a family and they just absolutely fell in love with him. The Spirit wasn´t quite as strong as in other visits with them but it was good because they have a 14 year-old daughter and she really opened up with him and while we were there, and now she´s telling us that she wants to go on a mission... :O... They´re such an awesome family. From Venezuela and the mom´s a member but the dad and the two kids aren´t. They came to church yesterday and really liked it and we put a baptismal date with them! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW... :)

Wednesday... The fatefull day. We went to District Meeting in the morning then after that... The game. :) We got permission from President to take the afternoon and be around the stadium and see all the stuff they had there. Oh man the game was soo good. I took a lot of pictures and videos as you can see and also as you can see I really enjoyed the game... :) Ty hooked us up big time we had ninth row seats in one of the corners. Not too corner where you can´t see anything but good seats. I saw Christiano Ronaldo´s sweat... So yeah they were pretty good. If you watch the highlights of the first goal scored you see us on tv. Some elders called us and asked if we were wearing white and pink... So look up the highlights on channel four of spain and the first goal and you´ll see us on the ninth row freaking out!!!! :) ¡Hala Madrid!

Then we had a few good other days here. The work here in B2 is exploding. Elder Brewer and I have received five really good investigators from members and all of these people are progressing super well. We´ve been blessed big time here. We had two families in church yesterday along with Mara (the 17 year-old girl that´s basically a dry member), and another investigator. There are sooo many prepared people here and it´s making me very grateful that Elder Brewer and I have learned what we´ve learned and that we´ve been able to earn the trust of the members here. That´s something that I´ve really gained a testimony of these past few days. The importance of member missionary work. All of these references from members where we teach with the member present, are progressing and are very close to obtaining a testimony of the restored gospel and make covenants in accordance with this testimony. I LOVE THE MISSION.

Feelings are good. Elder Brewer and I get a long. He´s super calm and very relaxed about everything but is still a super hard worker and willing to sanctify himself with me. We´re doing a 40 day santification proccess and wow. We started yesterday but I can already feel a difference. Hopefully the Lord can bless a lot of people through us in this little area in Madrid.

I´ve never been happier or more content with my life. I know we´re doing what´s right and that we´re being blessed for it. Thanks for all of the support, I´ve seen how it´s helped and is continuing to help.

Love you all!

-Elder Hawks
