Mama,

Ok to answer the most important questions you have. Heck yes we are going to skype on Mother´s Day. I´m going to call you at 4:30 my time so that should be 8:30 am Utah time. I have as much time as you guys have. An hour would be perfect but it can go a little longer and shorter depending on what you want Mama! :)

Another thing. Yes I got my package! Por fin!!!!!! Thank you soooo much it was perfect. I felt even fatter this week because I got my package Wednesday and I´ve eaten all of the candy that was in it. So this week for me was good! The capilla was packed on Sunday and we had some interesting experiences on Friday and Saturday. You´re right that transfers are pretty soon. We´ll be getting a call on Saturday telling us all of the changes. I´m pretty sure that we´ll both stay but President Jackson is known for changing things up. So I´ll have the news for our Sunday call.

So something crazy is that I hit my 8th month mark yesterday..... :O Hahaha I´m a third of the way and I already want to ask for more time! Haha but Elder Dyer and I realized that yesterday and it´s a super weird feeling. I still feel like a Greeny sometimes. We came in at the same time so it´s nice cause every time we hit a significant time mark one or the other remembers it.

Anyways so I said this week was interesting. The most interesting thing was definitely on Friday. Friday was the birthday of one of the Hermanas here so we all went to get chinese food for lunch. On our way this Spanish girl (23ish) stopped us and asked what we do here. We told her and she said that we could talk to her and some of her friends after our lunch. So we did, we went back to the Acueduct were we met her and her and like 9 friends came up to Elder Dyer and I and told us that they were a group of Christians and wanted to know more about what we believe. Hahah JACKPOT. Or so we thought. They asked us questions and we taught them sitting on a big thing of stairs. One of them tried predicting that Elder Dyer was here in Spain to repair his relationship with his father. He asked if his wrist hurt, if his dad was a member and a bunch of stuff like that. None of which was true. They told us that they were doing what the apostles did, go out without anything, money, food, a ticket home, or a place to stay. Apparently healing people on the way and a bunch of other weird stuff. We had to go an hour later and Elder Dyer just looked at me and said, "Sermon on the Mount" I laughed and we decided to pass by them and talk again later.

So we talked about it then later that night right before the time to go back to piso they gave us a call saying, "We´ve seen a miracle and we want to share it with you." What the heck? So we go and meet up with them. Apparently in the three hours we were gone they had another prediction and went to some bar. They asked for some guy named José, who had a heart problem and his leg hurt, and they found him. He gave them food and asked how they knew his name and a bunch of weird stuff like that, and that his leg felt better after they all prayed for him... We asked and they said that they had the authority to do that and that we restrict God for saying that we need to physically recieve that power. Weird.

That shook up our faith a little but then we prayed about it and thought about it. They´re crazy and that´s about it.

In church yesterday we had 32 people. I can´t even tell you how big of a deal that is here in Segovia. We´ve been averaging around 18 to 19 the past few weeks and to jump up to 32 is a big deal, and one of the Hermana´s investigators got up and bore his testimony. We´re growing! :) Our investigators are kind of progressing. We´ve starting teaching the husband of one of the recent converts here. He´s a spanish rancher. Haha so I told him that my cousin is a rancher and uses a lasso and he about cried from excitement. So Scotty you have got to come and teach this man how to rope when we´re all done with our missions. His wife, Soledad, is super strong and if we can get the family baptized that would be one of the strongest families here.

There are a lot of latino baptisms here but I´ve noticed that if you want somebody who will stay strong without a doubt. You need to baptize a Spaniard. They are strong and don´t want to leave.

Well that about sums it up for this week. I´ve doing well, I saw a family from Villalba and they said I´m losing weight so that´s good and I´m happy! I love you all and I´ll talk to you Sunday!!!!!!!! :)

Love,

Elder Hawks el español
